Languages and Language at the Crossroads of Disciplines (LLcD) is a new research group supported by the CNRS. The group organizes an international conference in France each year with the aim of advancing scientific understanding of human language and linguistic systems, as well as serving as a forum to foster new collaborations and cross-fertilization between different research disciplines and approaches.
The annual LLcD Meeting changes location and theme each year. It includes a conference, a round table, and a summer school, all linked to a specific theme or research area.
Following the first edition, we are now organizing the 2nd LLcD Meeting, which will take place at the University of Lille from September 1 to 5, 2025.
This year’s conference will feature a general session, thematic workshops and keynote lectures presented in a round table format. The languages of communication will be English and French. A call for workshop proposals will precede the call for individual presentations. See the schedule here.
The conference is open to proposals on any area of linguistics.
As every year, a specific theme will be highlighted through a Round table that will take place on September 3. This year’s theme is: Language Appropriation and Reappropriation: Theoretical, Experimental, and Corpus-Based Approaches. Learn more +
The summer school will be held from September 3 to 5 and will focus on Theory and Data in Language Research.
Please note that applications and registrations for the summer school are separate from the conference registration.
